Southern Straits Yacht Race - Pub Night & Online Registration

Southern Straits Yacht Race, hosted by the West Vancouver Yacht Club, is a Vic-Maui Qualifying Race. Straits Race is scheduled for April 18-20 this year. Vic-Maui boats sailing the long course will also be scored as a separate fleet, in addition to regular divisional scoring.

Pub Night: This Friday, January 31, at 7:30 pm at WVYC. Topics are "Vic-Maui Race Preview" and "Distance Racing Safety and Preparation". Discussion will include distance and offshore preparation, tips, tools and PIYA/OSR. Speakers are Stewart Jones and David Sutcliffe. $2.50 pints and free appies; RSVP to admin@wvyc.ca.

Vic-Maui Reunion 1965-2014 - New!

Save the date - a Vic-Maui Reunion is being planned for the evening of Thursday April 10, 2014, in Vancouver, at the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club. Sailors from all Vic-Maui years and clubs will be welcome - from the very first race in 1965 all the way through to the upcoming 2014 race. Dig out those old pictures, videos, sea stories and memorabilia. More details to follow soon ...

Vic-Maui Archives - Updated!

A significant amount of archival material from many past race years has been digitially scanned and added to the online Vic-Maui Archives. In addition to Race Programs for every year since 1965, there is newly posted material dating as far back as 1965, including articles, photographs, race data and so on. The current entries for the 2014 Vic-Maui International Yacht Race are online at http://www.vicmaui.org/teams. The final deadline for entering the 2014 Vic-Maui race is February 3, 2014. Official race documents are online at http://www.vicmaui.org/documents.
